Choosing poor in a land
of riches,
Choosing hungry at a grand
feast,
Choosing sick when there's
a cure,
Makes you a bullseye for
arrows
shot from bows by terrible hands.
The treacherous will be
treacherous,
The spoilers will surely
seek to spoil,
And the whirlwinds of war
will blow
without warning.
This is the burden
of choosing to be
a desert in a sea.
