Pillory or pranger bound,
Or feet locked fast in stocks,
Whips or chains beaten
Or back striped red by rods,
May I be spurred on to pray
And to sing hymns on high,
Not just to and for my God
But for all ears lent so
near
That Him they too may praise.
Then my prison He will shake
Jail doors will be flung
open
And all bonds will be broken.
Believe beyond the bonds
and you too will be saved.
