At His dinner table
As His special guest,
Jesus holds you close
Your head against His chest.

Can you
Hear Him breathe,
In and out for you?

Can you
Feel His heart,
A lub-dup times two?

At His water basin
On His knees for you,
Jesus holds your feet
To wash them both anew.

Can you
Sense His will,
His power, His grace?

Can you
Feel His warmth,
His holy embrace?

Jesus knows the time has come
In all to us He has shown,
To help us to understand
His love for His very own.
