Tied fast in a knot of sin
While the horn of salvation lay well within
Your reach, but it's not enough;
You can no more pick it up
Than it can fly to your rescue.

But, all is not lost
Though ever so high the cost
Has been paid, and the Son of Man
In barbarous bloodied hands
Extends it in love to you.

Sharp is the horn that can cut
Through the ropes of damnation,
While the work of the One
Is none but to reach out
For the hands of His Son.
