one life to live,
one choice
to make,
beginning now, and
into forever i take,
where must i start?
to what or to Whom
do i chain my heart?
wages digging for gold
in earthen hills, or
unwrapping the gift of time
with my Abba Father?
the gold will be taken
to line heavenly streets,
as for His loving presence
my heart forever beats.
