Forever Thine

Breaths of God
     gave life to dust,
To share a love
     meant for all time.
But when sin
     broke such trust,
A way was made
     to pay the crime,
A sturdy bridge
     for every breath,
To cross back over
     by just one death,
Breaths of God
     forever Thine.
