How will you believe if
I tell you of heavenly things?
Lift up your eyes
And look at the fields!
The days are coming
When the plowman shall
     overtake the reaper,
And the treader of grapes
     him who sows the seed.
The mountains shall drip
     with sweet sweet wine,
And the hills shall flow
     all the while with it.
So, fig trees, be cursed!
Even if it is not your time.
Reap what you have not sown!
And reach for all heaven's gifts!
Look beyond the horizon
     of what you can see,
And hunger through Christ's eyes
     not just for the possible,
But a harvest of what must be...
     an impossible fruit.
