Minting begins with raw
metal materials,
full of impurities not acceptable
for widespread coinage.
Once refined, the metals
in the mix are
melted and cast ingot style.
Rolled to proper thickness,
and softened
for proper striking, blanks are punched
into shiny discs.
Once set to proper diameter,
all edges
are raised to the desired planchet.
Business coins are made
ready for mass
distribution, while Proof coins are set
aside for the Collector.
It's like Jesus said: "...give
back to Caesar
what is Caesar's, and give to God
what is His."
Amen.
