Steering a sailboat involves
A turning of the rudder
Port or starboard,
And as the rudder goes
So goes the stern
And the boat turns.
Oh that the rudder
was always compliant with
the Rudder Man's commands.
Oh to be more responsive
to His guiding hand on the tiller.
Oh to sail most effortlessly
over all seas He steers us through.
Let us match our angle in
water
with the angle sought at the helm,
So that when we finally do
it'll
be happy sailing for me and you.
