Holy is not a burglar
who will break into your house
and steal your soul away,
Holy is a gentleman
who will knock and wait
outside your front door,
until you ask Him to stay.
Holy is not a bully
who wants His way or else,
and pushes you aside,
Holy is a gentleman
who loves you as His own,
who wants the best for you,
to grow you from the inside.
Holy is not a liar
who tricks you into believing
what has never been true,
Holy is a gentleman
who wants to walk with you
to offer comfort and counsel,
to show the Way to new.
