How doth the Crown of Christ
measure across thy brow?
How much more are we like
Him
this very now?
Do our limbs bear His same
fruit?
Do we have His deep compassion?
Do we feel His great joy?
Do we know His utter kindness?
Do we sense His knowing
peace?
How about His patience and
humility?
How so His goodness and
gentleness?
What of His forbearance,
forgiveness and mercy?
What of His self-control
and thankfulness?
And what of His faithfulness
and everlasting love?
Are we more like Him today
than yesterday?
How doth His crown so fit?
It is not, though, in how
we
measure up, but whether
together we go, our eyes
on Him, with only glory
as our prize. |
