If you open your mouth
a baby will grab for your
teeth,
maybe even your tongue.
When they see your nostrils
a baby will stick a finger
there
like they're new-found caves.
And if your eyes are wide
open
and you're sitting too close,
a baby will take a poke
at one.
What happens when we grow
up?
No more grabbing someone's
glasses
And perching them on our
own nose.
Imagine if you will, if we
could still*
transcend the space between
us
and explore one another
like a child.
