When we don't forgive,
We build up a brick wall
between,
Brick by brick.
When we do forgive,
We take down that brick
wall,
Brick by brick.
But when we forgive like
Jesus,
The whole wall comes down,
All at once, without delay.
Instead of cementing sure,
Or chipping away so steadily,
A wrecking ball shows the
way.
We see one another better
In the light of love,
And we see ourselves better
In His love's glare.
