Just Ask

If you could run
     faster than a bullet,
Would you,
     if you could?

If you could lift up
     the heaviest building,
Would you,
     if you could?

If you had super human powers
     of any kind,
Wouldn't you,
     wouldn't you use them
          if you could?

What about the super powers
     of the Spirit?
Every believer can
     have them; they're but
          a breath away.

You can love
     unconditionally.
Just ask.

You can have peace
     beyond tranquility.
Just ask.

You can have joy
     more than happy.
Just ask.

You can have patience
     that knows no limit.
Just ask.

You can have kindness
     that puts others first.
Just ask.

You can make every choice
     good and right.
Just ask.

You can have faith
     that moves mountains.
Just ask.

You can bear all with
     great humility.
Just ask.

And you have self-control
     beyond mastery.
Just ask.

You can have all of these,
     from the Holy Spirit within,
          all that is required
               is to ask...just ask.
