Here Lies
Here lies
The last wild man,
Christian his funeral
Friends said must be,
The least they could do
Short of carrying him
Themselves to the throne
Of the very Almighty.
Problem is
It's not what's said today,
But what was confessed
yesterday.
Heaven's not for the
presumptuousness
of
the taking,
But instead for the
graciousness
that makes possible
the receiving.
