Like gloves
He puts us on
When at first
We believe,
And often finds
We don't fit so well;
Too loose in the palms
Perhaps, maybe even
A bit tight in the knuckles,
Nevertheless,
Know this:
He will stretch those fingers
out
Even pull down hard
That cuff and sleeve,
Just until they're snug,
But not super tight.
