At once a Lion...
with one swipe
of a sharp claw
the promise of Heaven's fury upon sin
was wide open torn;
And a Lamb...
with a mere
lifting of one wooly chin
Salvation's neck became vulnerable
to the world's knife.
Strong and meek,
tough and tender,
fierce and humble,
bold and brokenhearted,
lionhearted and lamblike,
Jesus showed all how to
be...
men, that's you and me.*
