Mary knew¹
she would birth
the only begotten Son of God,
But she did not know at
first;
so perplexed in the beginning
Confusion took center stage,
as questions needed answers.
Her comfort zone was shaken,
control no longer in her hands.
Despite understanding not
what the Angel Gabriel said,
Mary leaned deep into what
ardent faith she had, resolving
To place her servant's heart
firmly in the hands of her God.
Not until the Angel left
her,
did Mary really know the baby
She now carried, was hers
to have and hold, for with God
Nothing is impossible.
