The fabled story told
Time and time again
In wordless prayers
And knowing stares,
By frozen figures bent oh, so low
Beneath imagined stars before
Not just a doll away in a manger,
But reminding us year after year
Of Christ, our true Lord, and Savior.
It's not about gifts under a tree,
But the one to come
That would hang upon one,
And set us forever free.
