Yesterdays always
Try to walk with us
Through our todays,
And shadow our thoughts
Of our tomorrows:
Folded notes in our pockets
Scribbles on our palms,
even
Post-its on our forehead,
But God wants us to forget
what is behind,
Not into our pockets going,
Washing clean our hands,
Removing all that might
remind,
He wants our eyes fixed
ahead
On only Him instead.
