God's Own Mirror
The place where they dance:
At the lake;*
Look to the west-setting sun
along the road that goes there,**
And listen to the cedars
swaying in the forest,***
To the winds aloft
sweeping across the tundra,
The white waters
falling from the majestic pass,****
And the rough rocks
rolling to the verdant valley below;
As all point the way
Where the mountains softshoe
A one and a two,
Showing off their reflection
In God's own mirror.
