Like in old westerns
Where the cowboy with the
lariat
Ropes in the scampering
calf,
So too does God
With maverick molecules
Deep within,
Those that rebel
Those that resist
His very Will, even Him.
He ropes in the little mavericks
As they kick and shout,
And hauls them back
Into the fold.
Such is our sinful side,
Our wild choosing,
And God's reign
Over even the least of these
So bold.
