Seamless
is the work of His hands
seamless
across time and all lands
seamless
is the fabric of His commands
seamless.

His work of redemption began
when Moses put upon Aaron,
the first high priest,
an undercoat of woven wonder,
and once each year
it guarded well his earthly life
and kept him from taking on
the very people's sins
his sacrifices sought
to put asunder.

Seamless
is the truth of His word
seamless
is the promise of His reward
seamless
is the holy coat of our Lord
seamless.

His work of regeneration continued
when Roman soldiers took from Jesus,
the last high priest,
His undercoat of seamless splendor,
and once for all
He gave up His earthly life
and took on His shoulders sure
the very world's sin
His own blood would
salvation render.

Seamless
from Aaron's sacrificial sands
seamless
to Jesus' sacrifice of self in the holy lands
seamless
where the last high priest aright now stands
seamless.

"Holiness to the Lord"
on a plate of gold was etched
a proclamation to the world
fastened to a silken hat
atop Aaron's holy head,
Then "King of the Jews"
on a plank of wood was carved
a proclamation as well
nailed on a splintered cross
above Jesus' cursed crown.

Seamless
from the first to the last
seamless
the need for Aaron's coat now past
seamless
Jesus' robe of right now forever to last
seamless.
