The dark has slept soundly
at the ends of the earth.
The shadows have hidden
sure
along every watery coast.
A great light did shine
first
in the lowest of all valleys.
The glory of God Almighty
lit the way for Israel first.
The time has come for the
beacon
of Christ to shine so ever bright,
Through the lamps of the
chosen
so even Gentiles see it right.
