In the middle of the sky
The sun stood still,
And the moon stopped,
But by what or whose will?

Some say an eclipse,
Some say a refraction,
Others quite sure
Not a true attraction.

Joshua spoke,
And the day did plod,
Victory in the Promised Land,
Behold the hand of God.

In the middle of the sky
Like no day since,
Not the voice of a man
