Jeremiah's Song

Sharp swords will devour
until their thirst for blood is quenched.

Heavy hoofs galloping
will drown out the enemy's cries.

Fierce fires set ablaze
burning skulls of noisy boasters.

Serious soldiers pile
village ruins onto mounds so high.

And wild winds yet full
scatter all foes to distant lands.

This day belongs to the Lord,
cries Jeremiah's song,
a day of vengeance and wrath
to right all that is wrong.

If those who are innocent
must taste the bloody cup,
Jeremiah's song wails,
God's enemies are sure to sup.
