Staring at the sun
can hurt a lot,
And if for too long,
you could go blind.
When bright sunlight
floods your eyes, and
delicate tissues burn,
black holes that can't
ever be filled in again
are left empty behind.
Not so with staring at the
Son;
the more the better, says the Word.
Even more clearly will you
see,
with a vision toward eternity.
When the Light of God
floods your eyes, true
all things of this earth will
be important none more,
as all else will fade away
and only Him, you will see.
