Stripped Away
.
"The Shepherd will be struck,
And His sheep will scatter."

Stripped away,
Torn limb from limb,
Naked left, with none
To cover Him.

"The Shepherd will be struck,
And His sheep will scatter."

His own slept
While He cried,
And thirty silvers
Was the bribe.

"The Shepherd will be struck,
And His sheep will scatter."

Push came to sword
They more than flew,
And where they hid
Nobody knew.

"The Shepherd will be struck,
And His sheep will scatter."

Even Peter lied
Before twice a crow,
And in the dark
His face did not show.

"The Shepherd will be struck,
And His sheep will scatter."

Not yet all alone
'Til Abba turned away,
And there hanging,
Nothing more to say.

"The Shepherd will be struck,
And His sheep will scatter."

Our Redeemer
Was torn as well,
So our sin, too
Could go to hell.

"The Shepherd will be struck,
And His sheep will scatter."

And the young man's cloth
That covered his nakedness,
When others did lay hold
Was finally stripped away.
