The Shroud of Brief Death

More than a bloody frame,
A face and body in repose,
More than a body butchered,
Yet a face in a state of peace,
More than an old stained linen,
Ancient trails of blood to see,
For all the doubters there be
So that they too will believe,
The Shroud of Brief Death,¹
The only picture we still have,
Our Lord Jesus laying there,
Before leading us home.

John 14:7-11
John 20:24-29
