Come to the voice in the
sound of many waters:
pitapat,
pitter patter on a roof...pause,
and listen,
lathers
lightly lapping at a lake's edge...linger,
and listen,
burbling
babbles breaking in a brook...bide,
and listen,
ripples
running down a river resolute...rest,
and listen,
or a
surf slapping at a sea's sandy shore...stay,
and listen.
Come to the voice in the
sound of many waters:
you who
are burdened beyond bearing,
and I
will lift the weight of the way you are wearing,
for my
promise is precious and my labor is light.
hear
His voice, and listen
find a peace that makes everything right.
