To Grow Old

.
God, in His infinite wisdom,
More than made us to age;
He made us to live long
     to have fruitful days,
He made us to be with Him
     to walk in His ways,
He made us to love Him
     forever and always.
He made us to grow old,*
     not distant and cold,
but instead, to have and to hold.

Ecclesiastes 12

*in a soul/spirit sense, opposite
the experience of the physical/body,
'growing old' is instead a fresh and
new return to Whom we came from
in the beginning
