was hovering over
the stew of creation.

stood on dry land
and saw it was good.
From the first
the Spirit

saw us so created
in the image of Three.

has been ready to
the show us the Way.

the Spirit

could have helped
to prevent our first fall.
From the first,
though, we
chose
to go it on our own,
ignoring the counsel
of the holy Spirit of God.
The Spirit of God
in times now
ancient
spoke through prophets,
but we killed them one by one.
The Spirit of God
lived in the
pure heart
of the Son of the God Man,
and we hung Him from a tree.
The Spirit of God
then dwelt
in believers,
our comforter, our counselor,
but on our own, we do still fall.
The Spirit of God
could have
helped us
avoid so much wandering
through times bloody and dark.
The Spirit of God
waits still
at the ready,
until forever taken away,
for us to just ask for His light
to show each step we should go. |
