Two lights shine
above and behind each of us,
Casting twin shadows
below and ahead, and thus
Calling us to choose
with which to sojourn:
Into the land of the valley
where
more than sun will burn,
Or into the shade of Him
who
promises mercy if we turn.
Walk amongst the dead
in the shadows of this world,
Or run with those who race
under
His cape of forgiveness unfurled.
