Our time has taught us
We are little more than animals
Bent on an end as meaningless,
Life condemned to death,
And forever sentenced
To being no more.
We cry out,
Believing there is more,
So much more
Outside the box where we live,
That we are more than just bodies,
Inside are soul and spirit too.
We are more than particles
Racing to oblivion and no beyond,
We are the children
Of a creator God
Who loves us more than life itself,
And wants us to be with Him
When this time is done.
