Besides the temple guard,
startled by
the shaking and
sudden light shining through
the sealed tomb stone's door
when from the entrance rolled
away,
Running back to the arms
of a world
they so believed
would save them from harm.
And the still dark skies
when
the sun, just
below the horizon,
begins to usher in morning light,
from black to deep, blueish black,
to pale blue and ribbons of orange,
The gift of a new day,
filled with
a new light.
Thank you, Jesus, for more
than
sharing what
you saw that morning,
but for making us that special twilight,
So we too could have your
resurrection
eyes.
