Impounded long without relief,
water will, over time, find a way
through any dam no matter how
Stolid the blockade.
It begins with a seeping
drip drip,
then a trickle of drips to a steady
stream, building up to a pour, before
All at once a flood.
When an old dam finally breaks,
when thick walls finally give way,
the slow erosion is unseen, but the
World sees the fall.
The softening of a hardened
heart
is a lot like the collapsing of a dam,
piece by piece, then more do tumble
When God's love breaks through.
