Men who fancied themselves
men of God
brought before Jesus a woman,
one caught in the act of adultery,
Saying: "Jesus! She must
die! She must die!
What say you?"
Jesus squatted down and began
writing
words in the dust on the temple floor,
and when they asked Him all the more
He said: "Let him who is
without sin throw
the first stone."
Squatting down and writing
again,
finishing the words he first began,
one by one they all walked away
Seeing and hearing Him clearly
say:
"Where is the man?"
