|Many know the first day
they laid my body in old Joe's tomb,
And you probably heard I
walked out of there on the third,
But what of the day in between?
Did I just lay there, staining
red the shroud they wrapped me in,
Or did the yawning silence
of the grave swallow my voice whole?
Neither, truly I say, I was
so busy, my spirit loosed from broken,
I proclaimed victory before
those who had fallen far from on high
That second day between,
And then led God's heroes,
Abraham, more, even a thief, to Paradise,
But more important most,
at the feet of death I left sin itself to die.
