Fearing God*
is the beginning
of all true wisdom.
Be afraid!
Feel His presence,
the heavy weight
of a higher power,
someone so much
greater than we are.
Be afraid!
Understand
that His
law, His morality, tower
over what the world says.
Be afraid!
Know He can
destroy
both the body and soul
should He so choose to.
It is with this wisdom,
we will begin
to learn to
see, appreciate and love
who the Holy One truly is.
It is our gain and
God's great
glory
to so fear the Lord.
Be afraid, my friends!
Be so very,
very afraid!
It is where our
journey home
must so begin.
Get wisdom!
It is this
fear
that brings
us oh so
near.
